Gwynne Jones

Gwynneth Jones is a Newcastle born artist and illustrator of several children’s picture books. At age 15, she ran off to Newcastle Art School to complete an Arts Certificate and later attended UoN, majoring in Plant and Wildlife illustration (BAVA).

Jones has continued a varied art practice with drawing strongly at the core.

Many collaborations and connections made - her picture books have inspired new and interesting paths, including talks and quick drawing demonstrations live for kids at schools - at libraries and the Newcastle Writers Festival. Gwynneth has also done graphic recording for NDIS clients and worked with groups to develop values in illustrated forms.
